One Speedy Potato

I did a quick post about this website on by other blog. However, this very cool idea needed to be shared with the Kara cooks community. I'm SO trying this next time I make some mashed taters, which just happens to be my favorite food in the entire world.

Check it out...

Has anyone tried this before?

10 seconds! I think it took that guy a lot longer... boiling water, scoring potato, rubbing it. J/K... I'm afraid I'm going to become addicted to the website now!

I've used this technique to peel tomatoes! Never thought to try it with a potato! Thank, Kara!

I wonder if this really works...I'm skeptical...

I have used this for tomatoes and for some reason I seem to remember doing peaches like this. Seems like he boiled the potato until it was cooked(soft) and must have left in the ice water a long time as he was able to handle it comfortably. Then you would have to rewarm the potato. Seems complicated and more work than peeling the potato the traditional way.
